Started the day right with Disney’s Halloween Treat (c.1982) on VHS. Now to eat some hash browns before the candy consumption takes over.

Zep Tribute →
Whadda ya know? This review lists my cover of “Immigrant Song” as one of the good spots on the recent Led Zeppelin tribute album (Jealous Butcher records).
Also, reviewer Benjamin C. Squires gets the musical re-casting of the song. To wit:
“Leigh Marble brings maracas along with pal Victor Nash’s trumpets so that ‘Immigrant Song’ is crossing that Mexican border...

Sicky!
Due to a bastard of a cold, I will not be playing tonight at the Press Club. The wonderful Rachel Taylor Brown is still playing, however - so now you’ll get to see two sets of Rachel songs. Yay for you! Boo for snot, colds, and coughing. I’ll be back in fighting form soon, so see you then.
Hating this fucking cold.

Sat at the White Eagle!
A slab of raw Marble: I get all stripped down, with just guitar and drums, the way God and Jack White intended it. New songs and old get fractured through our freeform feedbacked lens. Also will be lending some extra textures to Bad Side of Holland’s opening set, while trying not to step on their cool minimalist vibe (drums + magic guitarbass). Show starts at 9:30.
RT @KaseyAnderson: “How’s Obama working out for you now?” Well, the last guy turned my country into a universally reviled laughingstock …
The jam session was a success! The crowd roared like a lion!
Off to rehearse with Bad Side of Holland, to prep for the White Eagle show on Saturday. Looking for some collaborative magic!
